One word title

Fabulous Friday's Challenge at Frosted Designs is a one word title.  I knew I had to take a few pictures of Penelope and call it  mischievous because that is what she is. She loves to get in all kinds of trouble.  I think sometimes she is worse that a toddler.

I had a brilliant idea the other day.  I have been painting my nails with bright colors and using black crackle on top of it.  I was wondering if I could do the same thing to my scrapbook page.  Well it did work.  I took some chipboard and painted hot pink polish on top, than put a nice thick coat of black crackle.  After it dried, I painted mod podge to seal it in.  I really loved how it turned out and gave the page so much detail.  **Warning, you may be a little bit of a buzz painting the chipboard.  Hahahaha**

Oh and don't mind the curtains, they are suppose to look like that.  I have a "dead" living room.  It's a vintage Halloween theme, it went really well with the cobwebs that I had in there.  :)

Kitty Fun Day

Yesterday, Quincie and I went to the local animal rescue shelter to volunteer.  She has been wanting to do this for a few months now.  But guess who does all the cleaning and feeding while someone just get to play.  Oh well, she really did enjoy herself and can't wait to go back next week.

Over at Lasting Memories the challenge was to use black and white with a hint of color and a new up and coming blog, Sunny Side Up Creations, was to be inspired at a photo that was black, white, and green.  I decided to combine bother challenge together since it would be a lot of black and white for two layouts.  This was one easy peasy layout when everything pick up was perfect.  I cut out a black cat out of one of Halloween cricut cartridges and wanted eyes.  There sat Quincie's colored goggly eyes and thought that would be perfect, next the nose.  I used my silver wire and then a pink pearl and there you have a kitty.  I also painted the white cardstock with black paint to give it something extra.

Enjoy

Sunny Side Up Creations Design Team Call

I found a new blog that is looking for a design team.  Well, I decided to apply for it.

Here is the inspirational picture to use for the design team call
Here is what I came up with.  I used the brown and the orange with a touch of pink in my layout.

Sketch along Tuesday

Yes, I know it's Friday but Frosted Designs releases their sketch challenge on Tuesday.  It's been way to hot again this weeks so today was the first time that I actually got to scrap.

Here we have a picture of Quincie with Gigi and her new octopus named Booboofina.  Don't ask me about that name.  I guess when you have well over 30 build-a-bears, you got to make names up sometimes.

Scrapbooking + Rocky Horror Picture Show =

This fun layout called "Creature of the Night"  My daughter is a big Rocky Horror fan. She thinks that movie is just hilarious.  Well I do to, Tim Curry with that outfit on.  I just love it when he sings "Sweet Transvestite".  When Janet sings "Touch-A, Touch-A, Touch Me", the rest of the cast is singing creature of the night. I always that that was a perfect title for one of my sugar glider layouts since they are nocturnal.

Once of this months challenges at Child's Play Challenges is the book "Good Night Moon". Edgar and Penelope aren't saying good night , its good morning moon.  Frosted Design new challenge today is to use nothing but pattern paper, no cardstock.

Duct tape birds

I was able to get the instructions to make duct tape "Angry Birds".  All you need is Styrofoam balls, duct tape, pipe cleaners and googly eyes.  Quincie and I had so much fun making our birds.

This one is mine.  I wanted something crazy.  Pink zebra print, is there anything better than that?

Quincie had something a little more normal, except he does have a worm hanging out of his mouth.

But now she went crazy.  She did a unicorn and actually she did a REALLY good job.

I hope you enjoy our duct tape fun.

All about animals

That is this weeks challenge at Lasting Memories.  Oh, that is so easy for me since I have countless number of animals in this house.

Here we have Blaze or actually Blaze's eye.  Even though he is a crazy iguana he is very pretty with his colors and markings.

Crazy Driver

I found these old pictures of Quincie on my father's old computer that we have.  I think she is around two and a half there.  She was such a cute little girl.  I did this layout for two different challenges on two different blogs. First over at Frosted Designs the challenge for this week was to use washi tape.  I only have one roll of it and luckily it was perfect for the paper I chose.  Second over at Child's Play Challenges, one of the games this month was Rush Hour.  I don't remember that game at all.  But Quincie on those motorize cars was perfect.

On the Prowl

My favorite lizards came out to play the other day.  His playing consists of just laying there.  That's all Stitch does all day long.  Just lay and watch.  Sounds pretty boring but not to him.  He was just relaxing on the lawn and of course I had to take pictures of him.

I did this weeks sketch at Let's Get Sketchy with those pictures I took of him.

Color Me Scrappy

I like this blog's challenges but I usually have a had time coming up with the color combo that I like.   I was going thru the paper stash and I saw an older line of Echo Park.  The colors matched up perfectly.  And it is also a summertime theme paper.

So, there is Quincie making a sand angel at Ocean City.  No wonder she came home with bites all over her from the sand fleas.

Cool new blog I found

I just found this new scrapbooking challenge blog called Frosted Designs.  There are tutorial and challenges on this blog.  I did two of last weeks challenges but with that major storm on Friday night, we had lost electric for 30 hours.  I thought these layouts were do yesterday but lucky there aren't. So I am able to post them.

This first one if for the Fabulous Friday Challenge.  I had to use circles.

Second is from Sketch along Tuesday.
